The JAS 39F is capable of super cruise (over Mach 1 (1,235 km/h, 767 mph, 667 knots) without afterburner).
In December 2022 the first Gripen E was stated operational in Brazil Air Force according to Saab info.
Brazil has ordered 8 Gripen F.
The software can quickly be adapted to improve survivability in a conflict area.
The two-seater can use the backseat as an airborne flight control aircraft.
The information it gets can be transmitted to the other fighters in the group. The fighters can with this information approach and engage targets without using their own radar.
